Monster Character Painting II

Week Three found me a little bogged down, partially because I was sick for some of the time, partially because I just got carried away by this piece and really wanted to bring it all the way to a final look more than others. I really enjoyed getting into the lighting and metallic textures. Week Four came and went, but I'll be posting sketches for both that and Week Five soon enough. Click on the pic below for a closer view!

Whoa, excellent work, man. I love the atmosphere created by those glowing orbs. Really skillful painting. Is it digital? What software?

And I think the question this image satisfactorily answers is: "What if Katsuhiro Otomo was the visual artist for Disney's 'Operation Dumbo Drop'?"

Very fun. I love this metal elephant. The smoke in the center is great.

Great creative work!

Hey guys, thanks for the comments, they are much appreciated! And yes Glimbit, this is digital. I primarily use Corel Painter, then Photoshop for the clean-up, maybe a bit of color correction, etc. But I love, love, love me some Painter. Best digital painting program out there!

Oh wow! I LOVE this! A Steampunk elephant, amazing. You say this was done digitally, so is it possible to get a print of this? I would love one!
